Wholesome Gaming Anyone?

Christian games are making it into the mainstream, despite this era's leaning towards games full of gore and with explicit content. With the latest controversy on games with immoral content such as sex scenes, Christian developers have risen to the challenge of creating video games with wholesome or Christian content. Christian games in general promote Christian values, so that parents need not worry of questionable content.

Two of these Christian games are:

"Dance Praise" from Digital Praise, Inc. combines dancing games with Christian music. Offering four different modes of game play, it features more than 50 Christian songs from rock, rap, hip-hop, techno and other genres. Not much different in concept from the famous Dance Revolution, Dance Praise promises to set players' feet on fire.

"The Rebel Planet Series" is about an era thousands of years before the Great Flood of Noah, in a world called "The Red Planet". An imaginative fantasy world where the Bible is the foundation of truth.

Haven't sampled this games coz, well, they're not my usual thing, but hey, as long as it's an electronic game, it's worth a try, ain't it? ;)

While The Fast and the Furious online racing game truly engages, surely the cravings of racing fanatics like us never quells. Thus, my friends, let me introduce to you to another race game that's sure to rock your world: the TOCA Race Driver 2: Ultimate Driving Simulator (TRD2).

If variety is what you're looking for, this latest release is sure to deliver that. What with its' 31 championships covering 15 different racing styles such as Street Racing, Global GT Lights, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Super Truck Racing, Stockcar Oval Racing and Performance Cars. Packed with lots of race vehicle, styles and circuits, there's simply something in this game for everyone. So whether you want rallying, ice-racing or classic cars, the TRD2 will deliver.

With this heaven of a game, you'll truly feel like you're on the railroad yourself and would be challenged with a good balance of racing sim and arcade-style game play. Here's the lowdown on how it works: all players start as a novice driver, with the goal of getting to the top of the racing world. They are guided by a veteran pit crew chief who gives all these advices for each to succeed, but also tells them directly when they screw up. ^^

While the goals of each race are not really that difficult to achieve, it can be frustrating as you can switch from one type of car to a completely new one without even a single practice lap. Oh, just try it, my friend. You'll see once you play.

All in all, I rate this game kick-ass. ^^
